  1. I just discovered their song’s on the movie Chaos Theory. I really like them and will play them on my radio show

  2. can you come to georgia? please. even near georgia would be much appreciated.

we are excited about the upcoming cd!

  3. I have been a Damnwells fan for years now, but I always foolishly wrote off comments about the “Heart Hazard” EP as a misguided reference to PMR+1. Yet, here I see that the mythical Heart Hazard EP actually exists!!!! Who knew? Where would someone find a copy? What tracks are on it?

On a side note, I recently caught your December 6th, 2008 show at the Double Door in Chicago. Absolutely fantastic and the new stuff sounds wonderful live.

    Keep on truckin’!!!!!

  4. if we want to get technical, the “Heart Hazard” EP’s cover, looks just like PMR (w/ just the hazard stamp) but in purple ;)

I can scan it for you if you want.

And RE: the PMR not having lyrics on the page, if you don’t have them, I can type them up from the jacket for you

  5. The Heart Hazard EP certainly does exist! The tracklisting is:

    1. Fourth Avenue
    2. New Look Now
    3. Three Day Old Lover (Red Version)
    4. Not Me Instead
    5. Wake Up, Get Out
    6. Three Day Old Lover (Blue Version)

The EP is nearly impossible to find in its hardcopy form, as it was a smallish release to begin with and is now, to my knowledge, out of print. But you can find digital copies lurking around the web. It would be great to get this on iTunes. It is entirely composed of songs unavailable elsewhere, and is a very strong EP. These aren’t b-sides or cast-offs, this is a legit, rockin’, impressive, and well-recorded EP worth tracking down.

  6. when are you coming to Philly ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!

  7. It would be nice if the “Theres no one left…” ep was available on iTunes outside the US. Any chance of that happening?

  8. Tonight I was reading about Hunter S. Thompson after posting a few of his quotes on my Facebook. If you don’t absolutely get fired up after reading “The Rum Diary” or “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas,” I don’t really know what to say. Anyway, what I found interesting was a picture I came across that truly embodied the same feel/vibe as “One Last Century.” Check out this site: http://neo-gonzo.spaces.live.com/ and scroll down the page. It’s amazing how similar the picture is to the new Damnwells’ album picure. Maybe more than anything it’s reassuring and exciting. I’m guessing that those of us who love the Damnwells also respect the process of grassroots movements and fighting for the understated sentiment. HST fought for honesty and truth, which are conveyed in the Damnwells’ songs. Maybe I’m putting words and ideas in Alex’s mouth, which is unfair, but there might at least be some parallels! if nothing else at least the pictures are similar and there’s something to be said for that!!!

  9. Thanks for the great show at Iota on Sunday. You guys sure left it all out there. Great set list and performance. Wonderful ending with the acoustic bits leading to I’ve Got You. Hope to see you back in this neck of the woods soon!

BTW – the new album is perfect. Can’t stop listening. Thanks for putting it out there.

    Jeff

  10. DVD,DVD,DVD,DVD,DVD,DVD

Where can I find your dvd? Was it ever released?

  11. pretty, pretty please. come to detroit.
ann arbor’s 107.1 (john bommarito) has been playing the damnwells every sunday!!
a show at the ark or the blind pig would be fab.

  12. quoting Gilly:

“if we want to get technical, the “Heart Hazard” EP’s cover, looks just like PMR (w/ just the hazard stamp) but in purple ;)

I can scan it for you if you want.”

Would you mind scanning it? I’m curious to see it and haven’t been able to find it anywhere on the internet.
